Screencast tip: Hide your Dropbox menubar icon

I’m using Dropbox to make recorded material available for my editing account on my machine. Due to the size of those recording it’s necessary to keep Dropbox running, while recording.
Here’s the trick:

• Download the transparent menubar icons for Drobpox. (Close Dropbox before!)
• Replace the originals with the ones you just downloaded. (They have new names in the current Dropbox version.)
• Restart Dropbox.

Only downside: Demoing a menubar application is slightly more complicated, but doable.¹
