ProApps QuickTime Codecs

If you wanted to have the Apple ProApps Codecs, they are freely available from Apple’s website. I didn’t know that!

If you’re going to use these, I wouldn’t recommend AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) anymore. It’s just too old now. Go with something else instead. ProRes 4by4 or ProRes 422 HQ as intermediate product. For editing purposes create a ProRes proxy at quarter/half size. Works like a charm for editing HD on a laptop.
