Personally, I’m always bothered by the unread mails count in Mail.app in the Junk mailbox. I found a cool little tip to keep that count at 0.
Just create the following rule (Preferences → Rules):
- If any of the following conditions are met:
- Message is Junk Mail
- Perform the following actions: Mark as Read
