#31C3: A New Dawn
German’s congress is over, and there have been lots of great presentations again on computer security, surveillance, and art. I think the one talk that stands out most is Reconstructing narratives by Jacob Appelbaum and Laura Poitras. They reveal some Snowden documents about the NSA and their ability to crack secure connections.
Spiegel wrote:
"The NSA also has a program with which it claims it can sometimes decrypt the Secure Shell protocol (SSH)."
I highly recommend you also read the Spiegel article: “Inside the NSA’s War on Internet Security”.
All presentations are translated to English, and you can listen to them in your favorite podcast app.
